Outdoor Father's Day Activities
Each Father is different. So the father's day activities you choose to do with your Father may not be the same as the ones I would choose to do with my Father. Yet, overall there is a similarly in things most father's like to do.
Most Fathers enjoy the outdoors. Many Fathers spend most of their time coup up in offices all day or if they do work outdoors, they really don't get to enjoy this time. So on this special day of theirs, why not plan many outdoor events for them to enjoy.
First, start off with a good old fashion picnic and barbecue. Most Father's think they are Grill Master. Let them show their stuff on this day.
Buy them hamburger, steaks, hot dogs and all the fixings and then watch them smile with glee.
If the family has a whole day to spend outside together, why not plan some exciting games? Dad can take part in the games or he can do what he does best and play host slash referee.
You can play games like Frisbee throw, baseball, and basketball or volleyball. You could also get really creative and have some old fashioned games like sack races, three legged races, egg toss (you remember that one it involves an egg and a spoon, first one who makes it to the finish line without dropping the egg wins) and all those fun games many of us grew up playing. Can you imagine the laughs dad will have watching his sons, daughters and grandchildren playing such games? Plus, some Dad's may even join in the fun.
After the big barbecue that dad, of course, helped prepare, maybe all of you all could settle down watching old home movies together or relaxing with some cool drinks as the children play. Allow dad to reminisce with all those old stories you have heard a million times. Even throw in a question or two to make his day even more special.
No matter what you plan for the day, take the time to say I love you dad, I am glad you are my Father.
